PROFESSIONAL AND COMMUNITY TRAININGS Dr. Glatthorn and The Art of Communicating provide a number of options for formats for training and continuing education for psychologists, psychotherapists, counselors and other interested persons. The Art of Communicating is sponsoring trainings on an ongoing basis on topics related to Play Therapy, Psychotherapy, and Creative Communication in Therapy. Dr. Glatthorn has presented a large number of trainings through the Art of Communicating (link to The Art of Communicating sponsored trainings in the list of previous trainings) and she has also presented many workshops and seminars at local, national and international conferences. Some seminars are initiated by The Art of Communicating and open to the public. Other trainings are on-site seminars for an individual organization and are open only to members of that organization (link to list of previous On-site presentations in previous trainings list). You may sign up to be on the mailing to receive brochures for trainings or print a copy of the brochure for a given training or register online for the training(s) of your choice. Seminars at Conferences You may browse through Dr. Glatthorn's past presentations at conferences to get ideas of her topics for presentations and areas of expertise. You may also see a listing of her upcoming presentations at conferences to find another opportunity to learn about her healing techniques. On-Site Trainings Dr. Glatthorn does provide on-site trainings to agencies/organizations in order for agencies to provide cost-effective and individualized training to their employees. You may also contact Dr. Glatthorn for more individualized training on a topic or set of topics of your choice in any area(s) of her expertise. Providing the continuing education in this manner is often more cost effective as many employees can be present without traveling and the training can be individualized to the needs of your employees and client population. These trainings would also be provided through The Art of Communicating in order to qualify participants for credits toward Play Therapy credentials (APT Provider 95-021). Individualized and Home-Study Continuing Education Many professionals have a difficult time making time to attend lengthy seminars and conferences. They are often interested in learning, but do not live near the training sites, making attendance at seminars and conferences more difficult or prohibitive due to cost. In addition, some individuals desire more personalized training that offers feedback in the privacy of the home-study process. For these learners, Dr. Glatthorn has Pre-packaged Home-Study training options that provide trainees with opportunities to combine reading and practicing skills with consultation and/or feedback from Dr. Glatthorn to ensure the learner is truly grasping the concepts and skills presented in the printed materials and/or consultation session(s). Dr. Glatthorn can also provide face-to-face individualized training in a consultation format. Continuing Education credit for Play Therapy credentials is provided (APT Provider 95-021).
